We Are Growing!

It’s been a few months since the platform Freelancers in Gaza launched, and there has been exciting newsletter-worthy months full of talent, dedication and hard work. So as the platform is growing, more people are getting involved, more job offers are getting filled and more mentorship partnerships are being created, so we thought it was time for an update…
To begin, our pool of incredible freelancers is growing and we are ecstatic to be able to put them in touch with employers that need their talent.
More specifically, in the last few months we had multiple organisations and individuals reaching us with job vacancies such as; Scottish university with a research assistant position based in Gaza, Kuwait based blogger with a social media manager and content creator position, and multiple individuals in need of translators, editors and proof-readers. It has been the biggest privilege to be able to connect these employers to incredible employees and receive testimonies like the following:

In addition to our exciting employment opportunities we have the pleasure of also partnering up with the lovely company Yours Sincerely, where you can now order original prints by Gaza-based artists. Additionally, if you live in South Africa you can order a custom item (e.g. tote bags, t-shirts, hoodies etc) with an art piece of your choice created by one of our talented Gaza based artists. If you do not live in South Africa fear not, you still have access to the amazing art pieces of our platform as you can order digital art directly from our website.
Finally, we are thrilled to be a platform that can create connections and provide mentoring support for the Freelancers in Gaza. More specifically, we have a pool of professionals around the world who are excelling in their fields (academia, journalism, art etc) and are available to talk and support our freelancers while they are navigating their careers. Additionally, we have the pleasure of partnering with Partners in Palestine who offer their skills to support Palestinian youth and a number of freelancers around the world who offer free training and workshops to our members.
We are very excited about the future and about connecting talented, passionate people around the world. Keep an eye on our website, get involved and request the incredible services that the youth in Gaza have to offer.
